  16. today announced the release of Mathematica 2.2, the world's leading
  17. software for numerical, symbolic, and graphical computation, under
  18. NEXTSTEP for Intel processors, NeXT's object-oriented software for
  19. Intel-486 and Pentium-based computers.

  22. user base in the academic and financial markets, and we expect our
  23. continuing commitment to NEXTSTEP will expand these markets further,"

  30. notebook interface. NEXTSTEP users use Mathematica notebooks --
  31. interactive documents in which the user combines live computations,
  32. plots, animated graphics, and text -- extensively in corporate
  33. environments, for research, and in classrooms with computer labs.
